Mike Houtz

Mike Houtz has a well-traveled history. After undergraduate school at the University of Missouri–Columbia, he furthered his education with stints at Northwestern, Midwestern, and Depaul University, eventually practicing Medicine in Las Vegas and Denver. He took an early retirement to focus on family and his writing career.

During those training years, he was the guitarist for Mojo and the Bayou Gypsies, traveling across the country performing to tens of thousands of fans with some of the biggest names in the biz. 

His debut thriller, DARK SPIRAL DOWN, has received the Zebulon Award, a double winner in the AIN Awards, and award winner in the International Thriller Awards. You can find his novel in multiple outlets including Amazon. Currently under edits is his first medical thriller, OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN.
